My name is Doreen Hamangambwa, a Zambian living in Belgium. I was born and raised in a town called Ndola, in central Zambia, also known as the Copperbelt of Zambia. I am a single mother of one, a 23 year old young man and I am the oldest of the eight siblings.
I’ve been living in Belgium for the past 19 years, so Belgium is my second home. I’ve made great friends through my church, International Baptist Church of Brussels and through socialising. I am so grateful for them, they have become my family and they have made living in Belgium bearable.
It’s true what they say that family is not only people who you share DNA with; it’s also friends that become family, friends that are there for you before your own family is. Living in Belgium hasn’t been easy but His grace is sufficient, His mercies are new every morning….great is His faithfulness!
I am sure you’ve already noticed that I’ve mentioned God a few times already…He will be mentioned a lot in my rumblings because He plays a major role in my life. Without Him, I can’t even imagine where I would be. I am what I am today because He kept me.
Voila! That’s me! :-).
