Whenever I am in Lusaka, I always stay at the same lodge every time but last year when I was planning my trip to Zambia, I wanted to try a new place, so I started looking for short term BnBs within my budget on Booking.com. I didn’t look too long when I stumbled upon a self-catering bedsitter with free WIFI, DSTV, within my budget and close to the shopping centres plus a few ‘itembas’ (corner stores) for when you need tomatoes, veggies, airtime top up or you on your walk and feel like a roasted cob of roasted maize. I booked right away because it was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a place where I could make my own meals and stock up on fruit, yoghurt mangoes etc, and it was just the place.

MY REVIEW OF THE PROPERTY
The owner Whiteson, is a very great host! He made sure I was comfortable and I had everything I needed.
When I arrived the second time of my visit, I found some freshly picked mangoes right from tree in front of my window that I was eyeing the first day I arrived lol. I even got a compliment one night on the first week I stayed there and I stayed another 5 nights on my last week in Lusaka before leaving for Belgium and Whiteson gave me a complementary ride to the airport. His wife Justina is such a gracious host too. They invited me to their family friend’s New Year’s Day celebrations, which was great fun and I really felt like I was part of the family.
I even had my own personal body guards (dogs), Luna and her pack, which guarded my door every night lol. I am definitely staying here again; I’ve made it my home away from home, I really enjoyed my stay there.
If you are ever In Lusaka and you are looking for affordable accommodation, I highly recommend the place, you will love it! I know I did because it exceeded my expectations.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Share with your friends especially the ones who love travelling!
I pray that this year will be a great year for all us despite the happenings going on.
Stay safe, stay blessed!
