Why I Keep Running

Posted by

One of the reasons why I keep running is when I hear someone saying I motive them to start running or to keep running.

It was a humbling experience when someone who’s been motivated by my runs and has been cheering me on asked me if we could run a half marathon together last weekend. I told her I couldn’t because I had not trained, so I wasn’t in top shape as I had some health issues which slowed down my runs.

After hesitating for a while, we decided to run 6.5k mini-marathon instead, she was overjoyed and when we finished, she told me she always wanted to run with me! What an honour! So heartwarming!

It was a special moment for me as well because she is a young lady who Inspires me a lot by the great things she’s doing for NAFISIKA TRUST in Kenya.

Show her some love by following the link below:

  1. Oh wow! Yaaaay! So excited to be featured on your blog! I am still on a high from that mini-marathon. I am now inspired to attempt a half marathon on the 28th – The Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon. You always inspire me to keep moving in one way or another. And I am ever so grateful for the support you have given me and Nafisika. Asante Sana!

    1. It was so much fun running with you, you did great! I am so proud of you! 👏🏾👏🏾. Go for it! I know you can do it, you didn’t even break a sweat on the mini-marathon. I am humbled to know that I inspire you! I guess we inspire each other in different ways 😊. Karibu! It’s pleasure being part of Nafisika
